The American Black Bear, referred to in-game simply as the Black Bear, is a medium-sized bear from North America. It is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park 2 and Wildlife Park 3.
Description[]
The American Black Bear, as its name suggests, is native to North America and typically lives in forested areas. Although an adult male can weigh up to 250 kg (551 lb), it is smaller than the Brown Bear and Polar Bear. Unlike brown bears, black bears do not possess a shoulder-hump and typically have shorter claws. Despite their name, not all American black bears have black fur, with many individuals having brown or even white fur depending on the subspecies.
American black bears, like all bears, typically lead solitary lives. They are omnivorous, with roughly 85% of their diet being plant-based. Black bears will often use their highly developed sense of smell to detect the freshest food and their highly dexterous paws to gain access to hard-to-reach places. American black bears are also good climbers and swimmers.
