The Bull Shark is a mid-sized cartilaginous fish. It is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park 3.
Description[]
The bull shark is a requiem shark that is closely related to the Tiger Shark and Blacktip Reef Shark. Named after its stocky build and aggressive behaviour, it reaches an average length of 2.4m (7.9ft) and weighs 130kg (290lbs), with females being larger than males, although larger individuals are known. Wider and more heavily-built than other sharks of comparable length, the bull shark has a distinctive broad, flat snout.
The bull shark is found in coastal waters around the world, but unusually for a saltwater fish, it is tolerant of fresh water and can frequently be found in rivers and lakes. It normally hunts fish, including other bull sharks, but is opportunistic and will hunt anything it can find. Known to be highly aggressive and unpredictable, the bull shark is considered one of the most dangerous sharks to humans and fatalities have been recorded. Nevertheless, humans pose a greater threat to the bull shark's survival and it is currently considered "Near Threatened".
