The Canadian Lynx is a mid-sized North American felid. It is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park 3.
Description[]
The Canadian lynx, or Canada lynx, is one of four species of lynx, a group of medium-sized cats identified by their short tails, neck "ruff" and black tufts on the tips of their ears. It is one of the smaller members of the family, standing up to 56cm (22in) at the shoulder and weighing 17kg (37lbs). The Canadian lynx can be identified by its long, dense fur and broad paws that act like snowshoes, both of which serve as adaptations for a snow-covered climate.
Despite its name, the Canadian lynx can also be found in Alaska and northern regions of the United States, as well as Canada. It lives in dense boreal forests and, like most cats, is a nocturnal solitary animal. Notably, the Canadian lynx's diet consists almost exclusively on the Snowshoe Hare, making it a specialist predator. Its range and habits coincide with those of the hares and when hare populations decrease, so do those of the lynx.

Their daily food and enrichment necessities include meat, water, jumping, scratching and swimming. In terms of their environment, they prefer soft grounds like soil.
