The Common Wombat is a small Oceanian marsupial. It is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park 3.

Description[]

The common wombat is one of three species of wombat native to Australia. Like all wombats, it is stocky and short-legged, weighing on average around 26kg (57lbs). It has long front claws and rodent-like front teeth, both adapted for digging. The common wombat can be identified by its bald nose, giving it the alternate name Bared-Nosed Wombat.

Found in a variety of habitats, including forests, mountains and heathlands, wombats are primarily burrowing animals, digging very large burrows in which they live. Adaptations for a burrowing life include a backward facing pouch, which prevents soil being gathered over its joey, and a toughened rear hide that acts as a shield to prevent predators such as the Dingo and Tasmanian Devil from grabbing it. Wombats are herbivorous and feed primarily on grass. The common wombat is widespread across South-East Australia and Tasmania, and can live for up to 15 years in the wild.

Wildlife Park 3[]

The common wombat is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park 3. It was added as part of the Down Under expansion pack. Their daily food and enrichment necessities include leaves, grass, water, scratching and swimming. In terms of environment, they prefer softer grounds like soil. They prefer having a minimum herd of 5, with 20 as the maximum number of herds.

White Wombat[]

An albinism variant. Compared to their normal kinds, this variant has a slightly higher price and attractiveness. Their needs remain the same nonetheless.
