| “ | "Latin name: Entelodon. The entelodon is an extinct relative of modern pigs and other ungulates. They ranged across Asia and North America 45 to 25 million years ago. Their body length was up to two metres and the brain had the size of a fist. They were scavengers but also ate plants. Partial skeletons are mainly found in the fossil beds of Hsanda Gol, Mongolia. Similar and much better preserved fossils have been found in North America. Many of the skulls that have been found have severe wounds. Some even have gashes up to 2 cm deep in the bone between the eyes that could only have been inflicted by other entelodons during fights. In fact it was not unusual for one to fit the head of another entirely in its mouth! They had bony lumps all over their faces (just like modern warthogs) and were perfectly placed to protect vulnerable areas during fights. Even the most scarred entelodons showed no damage of eyes or nose. Their huge skulls were enormously powerful and perfectly designed to crush bones. Many teeth-marked bones can be found in fossil beds with skeletons of entelodons. They were clearly scavengers but probably also ate anything else that came their way. Even though they had thickly enamelled teeth, these were often broken. They also show marks indicating they chewed vines and roots for water in the dry season. They followed huge herds of prehistoric mammals, eating the dead or occasionally hunting themselves. Entelodons probably tried driving their enemies such as Hyenadon (a Creodont) off their prey. | ” |
The Entelodon is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park 2 and is available in the base game. Its daily need and enrichment necessities include meat, water, and wallowing (mud). They prefer living as a pair, with 8 as the maximum number of herd.

- Their name is derived from Ancient Greek, meaning complete teeth from ἐντελής entelēs "complete" and ὀδών odōn "tooth".
- The design of Entelodon appears to be based off a design used in the British series Walking with Beasts.
