The Snow Hare, also known as Arctic Hare or Mountain Hare is a small Eurasian mammal. It is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park and Wildlife Park 2.
Description[]
The Snow Hare, also known as the Mountain Hare, is a member of the Lagomorph family alongside other rabbits and hares. It is a comparatively large member of the family, with females reaching a weight of 5.3kg (11.7lb) and males being slightly lighter. It lives in mountain and polar regions across the northern parts of Europe and Asia.
Like many hares living in polar regions, the snow hare's fur, or pelage, will change colour depending on the season. It is brown in summer months, but during the winter, it will moult into a thicker, white pelage to blend in with the snowy environment. Like all hares, the snow hare is herbivorous and is preyed upon by many animals including eagles and foxes. Females will give birth to up to four young, or leverets, at a time.
Wildlife Park[]
The Snow Hare is an adoptable animal in Wildlife Park. It was added as part of the Wild Creatures expansion pack.
