The Thomson's Gazelle is a small African ungulate. It is an adoptable animal in all three Wildlife Park games.
Description[]
The Thomson's Gazelle, or "tommie", was named after the explorer Joseph Thomson and is considered to be one of the most common gazelles in east Africa. It is recognised by its markings, which include black and rufous stripes across its face and a large black stripe on its flanks. Both sexes have horns, although they are larger in the male.
The Thomson's Gazelle lives on the African Savannah and eats short grass that has already been grazed by other large herbivores such as zebra or wildebeest. It is able to reach speeds of up to 55mph (90km/h), making it one of the fastest land animals in its range. Its main predator is the cheetah, which can run faster, although the gazelle is able to run for longer distances and turn more quickly.
